From Colombo to Anuradhapura

There are three main routes you can approach Anuradhapura.
1. Colombo – Anuradhapura road through Puttlam
2. Colombo - Anuradhapura road through Kurunegala and Ella
3. Colombo - Anuradhapura road through Kandy and Kekirawa

From Anuradhapura to Pemaduwa in Mahavilachchiya

From Jaffna Junction in Anuradhapura there is the road that runs through the Sacred City up to the Pukonu Thuna (Three Ponds) passing Basawakkulama Reservoir bund. Turn to your right just opposite Folk Museum and go through the newly built Anuradhapura – Mahavilachchiya road. Go up to Pemaduwa, a small town in Mahavilachchiya.

From Pemaduwa to Horizon Lanka

Both ways from Pemaduwa lead to Bogas Handiya where Horizon Lanka is located.

1. Go straight over the Mahavilachchiya Reservoir bund to Bogas Handiya if you prefer the scenic beauty of the reservoir.
2. Turn right at Pemaduwa and turn left at Tract Four 4 Junction and go up to Bogas Handiya.

From Bogas Handiya the Internet reception tower of the Horizon Lanka will direct you the balance 100 meters.
